According to Oxford Languages, duality is “an instance of opposition or contrast between two concepts or aspects of something”.

An applicable example might be someone who appears very confident and outgoing in social situations but privately struggles with self-doubt and anxiety, showcasing a contrast between their public persona and their internal feelings.

Duality can be a complex aspect of human personality, adding depth and richness to character. Understanding duality can help us recognize the multifaceted nature of ourselves and others, creating space for self-compassion and grace for those who weave in and out of our daily existence.
